Grooming for cats is the same general process as dogs. It involves water, shampoos, hair products, drying, and sometimes hair cutting. However, anyone who has tried to accomplish those tasks with a cat knows it’s not the same experience. Cats are less willing to cooperate, and more willing to take their frustrations out on people. Appropriate knowledge of cat behavior, health, and handling are vital for any cat groomer. At Willows, we do it with excellence!
Cat’s First Appointment
Cats require a different
grooming experience than dogs
Before You Arrive
We are so excited you have decided to try out Willow’s Groomer! The Willow’s Groomer Team can’t wait to meet you! Before your first appointment, here are a few things you can do to make your check-in a bit shorter and smoother.
When You Arrive
The big day has come, you are getting ready to turn into our beautiful parking lot. Here are some helpful tips before you jump out of the car and head inside:
-
Our shop is located on a busy street. We highly recommend the use of cat carriers, and make sure you check that it is closed and locked before you exit your car. Having a rough morning, or can’t seem to get your cat in their carrier? Did you know you can use a pillowcase to carry them safely from your car to our shop? It is the next best option to travel safely with your cat!
Head Inside for Check-in
-
Juliana, our receptionist will greet you with a warm welcome and start your check-in process. We will make sure we have a good phone number to call for pick-up. Saving our phone number in your phone can make for an even easier call for pickup. Then Juliana will confirm services with you and go over what’s included. We will then confirm that we have your FVRC & Rabies Vaccine Due Dates in our system and that you have filled out our Enrollment Form. Once we have confirmed all of that, we will have Ashley come upfront to have a one-on-one consultation about your cat’s needs.

While Your Cat Is Here
Now that check-in is completed, it’s time to sit back and relax! Your cat is in great hands with us and we will let you know when it’s time to head back our way for pickup. Depending on what your cat is coming to us for it can take up to 2 – 4 hours for them to be ready. We want them to have a stress-free experience and don’t want to rush their time with us. If you are coming in just for a mani-pedi, you can wait in our retail area while we work our magic. Once you come back for pickup, Ashley will come up front and let you know how everything went. If at any time during your cat’s time with us, you’d like a status update, please don’t hesitate to call or text our shop. We love to not only make your cat feel comfortable, but we also want you to feel confident while they are in our care.
